Customers say

Customers find these earbuds to be better than AirPods, with impressive noise cancellation and good sound quality. The battery life is stellar with fast-charge capability, and customers consider them good value for money. The functionality and connectivity receive mixed reviews – while the ANC works surprisingly well, some customers report the earbuds stopping working, and while they connect well initially, many struggle to maintain connection to their phones. The fit is also mixed, with some finding them comfortable while others report they don’t sit properly in the ear canal.

    good sound, good wind cancelling
I’ve gone through several pairs of cheap and mid-price ear buds (< $100). Three I like are the earfun pro 3, 1more comfobuds pro, and now the Anker Liberty 4NC. Overall the Ankers win hands down. I think they have the best sound and by far the best wind resistance. After you load up their app and connect to the buds it gives you a hearing test to give a base level of response, then gives a bunch of A-B comparisons to a piece of music asking which one you prefer as it tweaks the response curve. I think the end result is great, but I'm no audiophile and am 65, so take that for what it is worth. The other two are good, too (I rate the 1more buds above the earfun's, but I like them all). I got the 1mores first, and if I were only going by sound quality I'd have stopped there (glad I didn't, but I didn't know that at the time!).I usually listen to them when I ride my bike on a local rails-to-trails path. The downfall of the 1mores is that there is a lot of wind noise that comes through. Noise cancelling overall is good, but not for wind. So I saw the earfuns on sale, so tried them. Much better wind noise reduction, but still more than I'd like. Finally I saw these and bought a pair on their launch. As I mentioned above the sound is great, and the wind noise reduction is very, very good. I hear a little from time to time, but most of the time I feel the wind on my face but can only hear it if I am really looking for it. They have a lot of modes you can set it too, but the one that works the best for me against wind is manual mode, maximum (level 5) noise cancelling with wind reduction on.They remember their settings no problem after you take them out of their case. The earfuns seemed to turn off sometimes (go back to non-cancelling mode). The worst thing about that in the earfun case is that in order to connect to the buds with their app you MUST have an internet connection. This was a problem on my last flight as you might imagine. The 1mores were great on the flight -- and no issues about connecting to the app in flight. It was a transatlantic flight and they ran out of juice so I switched to the earfuns for a while so they could get enough charge back into them. With the 1mores the engine noise and other extraneous airplane sounds were almost gone and I enjoyed my music. I have not flown with the Anker's yet. Hopefully they will do as well as the 1more's there (but I'll have the 1more's along just in case!). Supposedly the battery lasts longer in the Anker's, but only ride for about 3 hours at a time so I have not tested that. One final GREAT thing about the Ankers vs the others I've tried is that you can disable the on-bud controls. I always have my phone on my bike, so if I need to change modes I can do so. Since I found settings I like I don't need to anyway.... In the app you can select what every combination of taps does individually. And every combination has a do nothing setting. You'll still get a beep if you trigger the setting while inserting or wiggling the bud around, but it has no effect. Just what I want. If I want to skip a song my phone is right there, usually with the app up that is playing said songs.Sometimes I start hearing wind, and that just means the buds have slipped a bit. A quick twist or wiggle and the wind is gone. They've never fallen out, but I'm riding a recumbent so I'm just sitting in a lawn chair while I pedal.I use these only for listening to music. My wife called me when I was out while using the earfuns and she said I sounded fine. I have not used these so far to talk on the phone while I ride so I cannot speak to that.

The Best Earbuds In It’s Class, Hands Down!!
The best sounding earbuds at this price point!! Great noise canceling, bass, loudness and all around sound as well as a comfortablef fit with plenty of ear tips that should fit most. All features on these buds including touch controls are far better than the higher priced Liberty Pros priced at $150!! These even Knock the socks off the New Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE priced at $150! Not even close!! I would say these stack up to and in some cases surpass the Galaxy Buds3 Pro priced at $250! Can’t recommend these enough to anyone who wants great sounds at a great price!!

Exceptional stereo sound – minimal noise reduction
Were it not for noise reduction I would have rated a solid 5 star for sound quality. Very impressive at all ranges with excellent base, mid-range and very good high end crisp treble. I’ve had other brands of earbuds and these exceed those in quality of sound. I’ve used and have several Anker brand electronic products and have ALWAYS found them to be of exceptional quality and these earbuds are no exception. They come with a nice charging case and 4 sets of ear bud tips covers which offer a good range of sizes so the buds will fit securely in your ear. And this is critical for not only optimum sound quality, but for what noise reduction they do provide – more on that later. Be sure to download the excellent Soundcore app to your phone so you can customize the features to your taste and to achieve max performance. There is even a cool test you can run with the app to test the fit of the earbuds so you can change the rubber tips to fit your ear. And it works great. I played with it a bit and every time I did not have the correct piece or I pulled the bud out slightly, the test came out negative. There are some other settings and features provided by the app including equalizer settings (I didn’t end up using this feature since I didn’t think it improved the sound over standard setting), and on the noise reduction, what type of noise you are trying to filter, etc. Really an excellent app so I suggest using it.The set up is minimal and the buds pair quickly with Bluetooth. I’m also quite impressed with the battery life as it is in line with that as advertised. And of course it charge with any USB C charger and comes with a USB C cable, which most of us have a zillion of by now lying around anyway. But with regard to noise reduction, I am disappointed. Perhaps this is a expectation issue but what I was expecting was when I placed the buds in my ear with NC activated, all sounds would be eliminated or at minimum reduced to virtually nothing. This is not the case or at least my experience. In various tests around the house and outside, I always heard about the same amount of noise as I would have with just earbuds in the ear muffling out sounds as they would since they are jammed in the ear canal like ear plugs. And of course I tested this with NC on and off to determine any difference and there was minimal. Driving in the car with no music playing, there was minimal difference but with music playing there for some reason seemed to be an improvement in sound with NC on vs off. So perhaps they work best when playing music and are really not intended to block out sounds with no sound other than the “white noise” the buds produce sans music?? Not sure. And I highly doubt these Anker’s do a lesser job than any other earbud brand. Anyway, they do sound great playing music in the car. The real test will be in a month when I take a long international flight. If they can block out even half the engine noise I’ll be a happy listener! I imagine headphone NC would work better for obvious reasons, but I simply don’t have the room to carry yet another bulky item on board in my briefcase, so earbuds are my only option. For the money, I’m happy with them overall.

Amazing in many aspects, would not surprise me if they were best in class (at least at the sales price point of 55€ I got them at), with a few small areas of improvement. These earphones have long battery life – even with ANC on-, sit perfectly in my ears – fine for most sports and even to hear an podcast to sleep-, and they have a good audio profile for in ears, with lots of detail.Areas of improvement:* at least with mine, the battery level of the case behaves highly problematic. It stays at >= 40% for a long time, and then drastically drops. Since the in ears themselfes hold so much charge, and that level still is enough to charge them up this has not been problematic for me, but so far that issue has remained. I was hoping it’d fix itself after 1-2 cycles, but at best it’s gotten slightly better. Perhaps I’ll ask for support on that.* the ANC is okay. Nothing to write a poem about, though in fairness, it also doesn’t have any of the pressure feeling that ANC sometimes has. It reduces most environment noise, but it’s still present. Wind noise suppression doesn’t always work, seemingly depending on the angle of the wind.* the app takes long to load (or rather it takes some time until you can interact with the settings) when you open it, which makes it a bit annoying if you want to change settings you can’t with the built in controls.* wear detection operates a bit slow* the case is satisfying to play with, and fits well in my – male – pockets. However the button to open it is difficult to operatewithout blocking the lid from opening – since it’s right next to each other. You can open the case without the button, though it’s not designed for that, but that’s what I usually do instead of finangling my thumb to have the right angle* I list this as a separate point, though it is connected to the previous. The upper lid is rather large, which makes it more annoying to work with that case when it’s open, compared with competitors. Although, this might also allow for the easy insertion of the in-ears into the case, so I guess it’s a trade off.

After testing the product out for a couple of days, I am in love. These fit comfortably in the ear, although they may slip out when it gets a bit dirty or when you bend down. The earbuds however have very strong magnets and won’t fall out when falling. The case is a bit chunky, but I did not mind as it still fits in my pocket. I love the opening mechanism of the case, it’s fun to fidget with.Moving on to the sound quality, I was surprised at how good it was. The hear ID equalizer makes a great difference, and the sound is very adjustable to your liking. The call quality is definitely an improvement from my previous earbuds, and I can easily talk in windy weather and noisy environments for the recipient to understand me.What was a deal breaker to me was the noise canceling function during wind, as I live in a pretty windy area. You have to turn on the wind canceling on, but only once. You can barely hear the wind. I’ve heard complaints about the transparency mode, which I agree is not so great but also not needed to be honest. Extra details include:- audio automatically stops when you take off one ear, which takes a bit like 3 seconds- battery is amazing, I used it for a day and it has only gone down by 10%- noise canceling amazing, can’t hear surrounding conversations around me when audio turned on- touch function is a bit sensitive, and double/triple tapping is a bit inconvenient as it often does not pick up as separate commands.Overall, great quality for the price but some functionality is a minor inconvenience which i can get over for this price.

I decided to buy these True Wireless earbuds as a replacement to my Airpods Pro that I accidentally left my in my home country before flying back to North America.I absolutely love ANKER products, but coming from an Airpods Pro, I didn’t expect much from this product when I first bought it. so my review here will mostly be related to quality of life usage and not so much on the audio aspectBattery Life: Absolutely fantastic, over 4-5 hours of straight use before you get that beeping low battery that indicates you only have 15-20 minutes left. Then you would only have to recharge them in a case for 15-20 minutes before you can use them again for another 1-2 hours. so the claim they’re making on this product is very legitCharging case: I’ve never fully drained the battery of the charging case as I consistently charge them every night but it doesn’t take that long to fully charge the case either. maybe 1-2 hours max?Case durability: i’ve dropped these bad boys a couple times before on multiple hard surfaces over the last 7 months and they seem to be holding up really well with no scratches or permanent damageCase size: coming from an airpods pro, these look significantly bulkier (1.5 times bigger) but rest assured they are still very pocketable.Touch control: the touch control on this thing is easy to use, very easy to get used to and very reliable even when you have wet hands. the tap and/or hold function on these earbuds can be tweaked on the app settings.Eartips/Earbuds: the one thing i dont like about this product is the provided eartips adhesiveness to the earbuds. for reference, i use the smallest eartip in the box. they are standard eartips but they do get easily detached from the earbuds and sometimes they stick in your ears when you try to remove your earbuds. please keep in mind that i come from airpods pro where the eartips suction to the earbuds are very top notch when installed and is almost impossible to be accidentally detached from the earbud.Noise canceling: let’s just say that if an Airpods Pro cancel out 99% of the noise from a very chatty and loud environment (like a gym during peak hours), then this product cancels out maybe 94-95%. it works really well to block out most of the noise in a loud environment, but you can still hear minor inaudible noise in the background whereas the sony WF1000XM5 or Airpods Pro completely shuts out the noise.Ambient sound: this works pretty well most of the time for a $129 headphones for you to activate to speak to someone without taking off your earbuds.Media/Audio pause when removing earbuds: this earbud has the same feature as most high end earbuds where if you remove one earbuds while watching or listening to something, it will automatically pause the media currently being playing before hit play again on the other earbuds. however, they are not as efficient as high end Sony or Apple NC earbuds.what I mean by this is that an Airpods Pro would immediately detect that you’ve removed one earbud and would automatically pause the media, where as the Anker Liberty 4 NC would have a 3-4 second latency delay before it notices that you’ve removed one earbud.still an amazing feature for the price tag.waterproof: I tried once or twice to shower with these on just to see if they would hold up and they did really well with no issue whatsoever. but i don’t recommend not to shower with these on all the time. your disgusting ears also needs to be cleaned on a daily basisAudio Quality: I am just a regular peasant who enjoys listening to audiobook and music while working out, I am not going to pretend here to tell you the mids are good, the low and highs are good when i dont even know what that all really means in the first place. all i know is that the bass is decent and i’ve never had to complain about song i’ve listened to not being punchy enough because of these earbuds. you will never have that problem as long as you’re not audiophile (most of us aren’t)Sound Core app: i dont know how to use an equalizer but the presets they have is good enough for me to tune up my earbuds based on what i’m currently listening toOverall: giving this product an absolute 5 stars for the Price/Value for money. definitely get it if you’re looking a for an affordable noise canceling earbuds. if anything, ANKER also has 18 months of warranty
