    No More Sad Salads
As someone helping a family member manage Type 2 diabetes, I’ve flipped through tons of cookbooksand most of them either overcomplicate everything or serve up bland meals. This one is a total game changer. The full-color photos make it easy to follow, and the recipes are simple, tasty, and realistic for everyday life. The 30day meal plan was a huge help in getting started without feeling overwhelmed. I also loved the QR codes for the cooking videos—super handy. What really stood out? It’s not just about cutting carbs, it’s about eating well without feeling like you’re on a “special” diet. This book makes healthy cooking feel doable, not stressful. If you’re new to diabetes-friendly cooking or just tired of boring meals, this one’s worth keeping on your kitchen counter.

A perfect starter guide for diabetic-friendly cooking!
This cookbook has been incredibly helpful for my aunt, who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. The recipes are simple, healthy, and easy to follow, with photos for every dish. She’s been loving them, and it’s made meal planning so much less stressful. I definitely recommend it if you’re just getting started or helping someone who is.

    interesting and informative
This cookbook has been such a helpful and encouraging resource for us. The recipes are straightforward, full of flavor, and don’t require fancy ingredients or hours in the kitchen—which I really appreciate. The pictures make everything less intimidating, and the 30-day meal plan gave me a real sense of direction without the usual stress. I love that it focuses on real, wholesome food without making us feel like we’re missing out. It’s made cooking for your health feel less like a chore and more like something we can enjoy doing together.

Not Just for Diabetics – Delicious for Everyone!
This Diabetic Cookbook for Beginners” by Cecily Goodwin may be aimed at those managing diabetes, but the recipes are so flavorful and accessible, anyone can enjoy them. It’s a quick, easy read packed with simple, mouthwatering meals that don’t compromise on taste. The format leans more toward a magazine-style cookbook than a traditional one, which makes it approachable and user-friendly. Whether you’re looking to manage blood sugar or just eat healthier, this is a fantastic starter cookbook. If you’re only going to buy one, this is a smart pick – it gets you started and keeps you going. One gripe: The book includes three QR codes – the first, at the beginning, links to the author’s page and works fine. However, the two at the end – one for leaving a review and another promising 50 bonus recipes – do not work. Personally, I’m not a fan of QR codes to begin with. A short, easy-to-type TinyURL would’ve been a more reliable alternative. As it stands, you may miss out on the extra recipes, which is why I’m giving this four stars instead of five. Hopefully, this issue will be fixed by the time you purchase this book.

I love reading cookbooks of many varieties. This book is its own way because of the images, instructions and bonus tips and tricks. The tips & tricks for each recipe makes me feel more connected with the author on a personal level of communication that is healthy creating growth. I cook for enjoyment primarily for my wife not for any career purposes. I know this book is diabetic focused at the beginning which I do appreciate and yet I can appreciate more wonderful ideas presented in cook books. Furthermore the tips & tricks for each recipe is an excellent edition that I appreciate most in this book.

Yay! Finally a cookbook with pictures to go along with it. I know there are a few but not nearly enough. I am prediabetic and am always looking for good recipes that are fast and easy as my family is grown now and it is only for me. I love that there are things like lettuce wraps and quick snacks!

I came across this cookbook while looking for something grounded and realistic to support my healthier meals. I appreciated how thoughtfully this book is put together. The structure made sense: starting with the basics, then a 30 day plan, and finally recipes that feel doable and satisfying. The little tips throughout felt personal and encouraging. It is not just about cutting sugar, but about cooking in a way that still feels joyful and real.Easily a 5 out of 5 for its clarity, warmth, and real-life usefulness.

A fantastic resource for anyone new to diabetic cooking! This cookbook makes managing type 2 diabetes feel a lot less overwhelming. The recipes are simple, clearly explained, and the pictures make it easy to know what to expect. I especially appreciated the 30-day meal plan, it gave me a great starting point and helped me stay on track. The meal plan has the links to the recipes in the book! Mine and the kids’ fav so far: Chicken-Veggie Lettuce Wraps. Looking forward to trying more.
