Perfect Little Multitaskers
These great little disks do double duty in my kitchen. Not only are they wonderful for opening jars, but they also stabilize my cutting boards and mats. I toss a pair of them on the counter, set the board or mat on top and boom, it doesn’t move at all. Next month when the weather warms up they’ll also serve as coasters on my outdoor dining table.Update: It’s been 6 months since these arrived and not once in that time have I had to ask my husband to open a jar for me! Prior to buying these, he had to open most of them, because I have a very weak grip since breaking my right arm 10 years ago. I continue to use them to stabilize cutting boards, no matter what they’re made of. They provide a firm, non-slip anchor every time. They’re also great as coasters on my Boos block island top under cold bottles and jars that might otherwise leave moisture on the wood. I use them so often I don’t even bother to stash them in a drawer, I keep a pair on the island all the time. They’re one of the best kitchen purchases I’ve made, highly recommend them.

Beats having to waste hot water to loosen a stuck jar
I feel strong again! Stuck spaghetti sauce jar? No problem. These things are thin and look cheap & cost more than they should & fall apart pretty quickly, but they do what they’re supposed to do: open stuck jars! Plus you get plenty of backups.

Hello. I appreciate the seller of my product; I’m glad the product was in stock, as Wal-Mart simply could not deliver. I thank Amazon as well, as they were very prompt in their delivery. My product works well, and I even use these as a way of preventing my elbows from sliding on my table when I simply sit at a table to eat or watch TV or do online shopping or research. I even use these as a grip to hold my phone on the table.Here’s a useful product tip that will only work if you’re at a table or desk: Stand your phone or tablet upright and place one of these grips beneath the device and rest the device against a strong, heavy vertical surface on a table, such as an unopened box, or even something as simple as a gallon of water, or an emptied juice or milk gallon jug filled with water as a backing or vertical surface, and adjust the slant or tilt of your device as desired, use 2 pads, if needed, and enjoy. Otherwise, you may have to use a Pillow Pad, as I did years ago. Anyway, I love these gripping pads.

My local Dollar Store no longer carries these – had bought several in the past. Work fine to open jars, etc. but the reason I wanted more of them is because I use them, taped to various things (like trays), to act as a non-slip surface. Thought the price was a tad high but, as I said, no longer available locally and buying thismany will last me a long time. Hopefully the odor will diminish with time, as I put them outside to air out.

How did I manage without these? They really are excellent and I am able to open any bottle or jar without asking my next door neighbour for help! You get a lot in the pack but one lasts for ages. Highly recommended.
