Useful
It’s good but stay away from your bones and nerves. Don’t over use. Great for tense muscles. If it hurts place the pads elsewhere. Start slow

Great Tens unit
I’ve been using both prescription and OTC Tens units unfortunately for decades due to an injury. As those that have had to use prescription required Tens units know the insurance companies often push back hard on renewal. When the OTC units were first approved got one. With the rechargeable battery not lasting as long and the features limited got this one. This unit is a significant improvement over older generation. First the newer OTC units are comparable to Prescription if they crank out 80mA or more. No OTC or Prescription manufacturer will tell you what they crank out but I can tell this is close to the ones I used to use that were prescription models. First, you can adjust the tens intensity settings, for each side of application. So if neck or lower back pain but on one side, use less stimulation on other. They do recommend stimulating both sides or at least that was drilled into my head by Drs and Physical Therapists.Second with more settings comes your choice of best pulse intensity, type of pulse intensity or pattern that feels most comfortable with you. Finally I’m able to use more than 20 mins, my old unit maximum time, rather than restart. I know by how much pain how long to use unit before I get pain relief.Functionality: Easy to use if you’ve used these units in the past. If this is your first one then recommend using the basic presets 1-10 before trying up to 60 to find the ones that you prefer and lower intensity and time until you find consistent relief. In terms of size this is bigger than my old limited function Tens unit of almost two decades ago but it’s in the size range of competitor products. Easy to put in your pocket while you walk around using unit at home or work.Couple of points to make: The power button is not simple touch on. When I got the unit I thought the battery was drained and charged for two hours. When I needed unit a week later thought battery was dead and recharged, but it was full within a couple of minutes. Realized you have to press more than a few seconds to turn on.Second, the snap on clips are not tight enough. When securing the pads into the clips for each cable they frequently came off when I applied them to body. It became easier to apply the clips to pads once on body but that’s not easy to do if lower back is area of application.Nice to have: My older units came with two hard plastic components. When you’re finished with treatment rather than reapply the thin plastic sheet over adhesive side you stick onto plastic pad on both sides. Easier to use so would be nice to have. All in all a solid high quality less than $50 unit. You pay a premium if “FDA Cleared” meaning $60-$100 and the few OTC that are actually FDA approved are $125-200. The premium is for the cost of FDA Cleared and marketing of Tens unit…. the vast majority of units are not FDA cleared and are safe to use for pain relief and priced like this unit. Happy with purchase.

Compact and works well
I have had and used multiple TENS/EMS stimulation devices for many years due to lower back pain. So the lack of explanations about the various modes was somewhat expected. The device boasts 60 different modes, which I suppose it truly has. But nowhere in the instructions do they even attempt to tell you which mode to use for what symptom. In other words, you have a 1 in 60 chance of finding a setting appropriate to your specific condition. I tried about 15 before I was tired of shocking myself in different ways. Sure, you can cut down the odds a little once you figure out if you want TENS or EMS, but the chances are still 1 in 20 of finding a good setting. And how would you know which one is right for you even if you found it? This has always been my problem with these devices, and this one is no better or worse than others as far as detailed instructions go. I guess you have to train as a physical therapist to learn how to use this correctly. I’ve had problems getting a doctor or PT to give usage advice on home units like this. So, I just pick one that feels good and go with that.If you skip the shortcomings above and just focus on this device, it’s a good TENS/EMS unit. It’s much smaller than older ones I have and will fit easily in a pocket so you can walk around while using it. Be careful doing that if you aren’t accustomed to stimulation, as it could cause you to stumble or fall.Everything seems to work as designed, and it comes with a nice carrying case that holds everything. It has various shaped electrode gel pads, but again, the instructions do not tell you what shape is best for what part of the body. I expect I’ll use this one instead of my old ones just because of the size and nicer snap-on electrodes. However, having it be rechargeable is a little concerning. The older devices ran on a 9V battery that would last about a year. And carrying a spare 9V walking around Disney World or somewhere similar wasn’t a big deal. Now I will need a strong power bank or access to an electric outlet. It’s supposed to last 20 hours though, so I guess I will have to get used to charging it daily when used regularly.PROS: Small and lightweight, many modes and levels to choose from, good value, works as well as more expensive units, nice case holds everything.CONS: Instructions don’t tell you what any of the 60 modes do or which you should use for your condition
