Full of information for first-time heart patient AND family members
Great info. Easy to read. So glad I bought this after my husband’s doubly bypass and aortic valve replacement. Recommend for anyone who wants to learn more about what is going on with their heart, or what to expect.
Wendy Frank –
Educational
Much of the book covered things that didnt pertain to my husband. However, there was a few educational things we did learn from reading sections.

Must have…..
This is a great book for anyone wanting to learn the best way to recover after a heart attack. It is a must read for all members of the family who have ether had a heart attack or is helping someone in the family who has had a heart attack. This book clearly explains the why, how and answers most questions that come up in the post attack recovery. It has been read and referred to often and still gives us explanations when we are still learning about the best way to make changes in our diet and lifestyle to be healthier than before.I highly recommend this book!!The accompanying cookbook is only three star! there are better cookbooks that cover diet changes better!

The Cardiac Recovery Handbook
This book is an excellent source of information for anyone recovering from a heart attach. My husband took it to his cardiologist for his opinion and he gave it a rave review. It has helped my husband (and me) understand what he is going through and to best cope with how his body has changed since the incident. A must read for anyone with heart trouble.
