Healthy eating for the heart as well soul
I preordered this book. I have been following the author of the book for some time now on social media. She has always had some great and very healthy dishes to prepare, along with not complicating them. My book arrived last week, my favorite dish so far on page 144 “skillet chicken with olives and tomatoes”. That is as simple as it gets to prepare a skillet some fresh heart healthy veggies and in a half hour done.. It is an oversized paperback at a good price. Offering a bit of everything to please different pallets. I for one do not have any heart conditions and I certainly do not intend on any time soon. This book is going to be a mainstay in the kitchen. Invest in your health for a small amount of money. My intentions are to create all the meals in the book. Anything for being healthy. The pages are large, the recipes are easy, gives all the caloric info. Invest in this book you will not be sorry.Bon Appetit!!!

Give Your Heart Some Love with This Amazing Cookbook!
If the heart is a symbol of love, why do some many American’s take their health for granted? I love the approach Cheryl takes in her book. Rather than preach, she provides an engaging intro and lead-in copy that gives the reader a strong incentive to “give your heart some love,” with a clear-cut guide how to do so. Cheryl draws upon the long-standing evidence of the Mediterranean diet’s benefits and gives the reader a clear, concise explanation of the science pertaining to heart health. She provides the basics of the diet and lifestyle tips beyond the plate. Her cookbook features some of my favorite cuisine from Greece, Spain, Italy and Morocco. Just looking at the recipes has my mouth-watering.

Best diet, written by dietitian
I received a digital copy of this book from the author for review purposes, however went ahead and purchased my own copy because this is a subject I am interested in learning more about. I highly value information put out by registered dietitians because they are the true experts in nutrition and Cheryl has extra qualifications on top of that. I appreciate the easy recipes and can’t wait to fold them into our family menu. My only complaint is that there are only a few pictures. I’m sure the recipes themselves will make up for the lack of visuals. Thank you for this book!

Excellent resource and well done
I bought this book to incorporate a Mediterranean diet in my life since my LDL was on the high side. I tried many recipes so far and I love most of them. Interestingly, following other recommendations like reducing saturated fats I lost about 6 lbs. without trying. I am not hungry. I was not overweight to begin with but am now the same size as when I got married 45 years go!! ! There are still more recipes to go.

Excellent Heart-Healthy Cookbook!
As a wife of a recent heart transplant recipient, I appreciate this excellent, heart-healthy cookbook! Cheryl Mussatto, an experienced, licensed and registered dietitian, shares easy-to-cook recipes that are delicious plus good for the heart and entire body. In this well-written cookbook, Cheryl also describes which foods in particular are important to enjoy in the heart-healthy Mediterranean diet. Can’t wait to try all of the recipes! Definitely recommend.

Bland (not the books fault) and different measurements (books fault)
The recipes are super bland. 2 cups of rice 1 pound of turkey, plus vegg. You get 1/2 teaspoon of salt for all that. I added more as it tasted like nothing while cooking it. But every recipe is like that. But thats not entirely the books fault. Its a heart healthy diet, and theres just no way they can compete with good tasting food (fast food, taco truck, burgers etc). So its not entirely their fault. But it is a truth of this book. The thing that is their fault however is the amount of different sizes they measure in. In the same recipe mentioned above, I needed Oz of meat, Oz of olives, Pints of tomatoes, cups of rice, and teaspoons of seasoning. Everything there could have gone by weight. Or least the tomatoes could have been weight or cups. It makes it a little harder to shop

Delicious and Healthy Recipes – Clear and Concise!
I received an advanced copy of this cookbook. The recipes are simple, concise with everyday ingredients that I have in my home. Recipes are easy to follow and the results DELICIOUS. Nutritional and Allergen information clearly indicated! The photographs are gorgeous as a bonus. My new favorite go-to’s thus far are the Caprese Breakfast Wraps, Mediterranean Style Veggie Egg Scramble, Moroccan Turkey Meatballs, and the Baked Zucchini Parm Strips. Notes to help add variety to these recipes are all there! As a Nutritional Professional (RDN) myself, I would definitely recommend the book to my patients and colleagues.I have been following the author of the book for some time now on social media.
