    I’m trying to learn how to better help myself with changes in my life and diet.
    I have found that books from Mayo Clinic have helped me in learning what causes my health problems, ways I can deal with them and questions I can use when I see my doctors. These books have helped me, to help myself and with more information I can share with my concerned family. It helps me feel that I’ve more control of the many changes in my health and my life. It helps me feel more empowered.

    Understand and Take CONTROL YOURSELF 🙏
    I was able to FINALLY UNDERSTAND Type 2 Diabetes and WHAT TO EAT to LOWER MY BLOOD SUGAR. My Blood Sugar was 11.2 when I Read the Book and Changed my DIET !!! 4 MONTHS Later my A1C was 7.6…This has been a 30 year Battle..to Understand 🙏 and learn how to Control it !!! With WHAT YOU EAT ???

    Mostly just a program. Not enough recipes.
    I am not overweight so most of these diet plans do not work for me. I was actually looking for more recipes to use but there aren’t many in this book. They start on page 294 and end on 342. Most of the other information offered, I already know.

    Great information, very helpful in understanding what needs to be done
    I like the approach to what I need to do as a diabetic. Questions are posed to get the reader to decide what they want to do in terms of commitment, without feeling judgmental or pressure. Great suggestions for meal planning and recipes. This is a life long process so read & then take a break to think about what has been presented.

    Carbohydrate count is way off
    They say that 2 whole wheat bread slices are 2 g of carbohydrates. They say that english muffins are 2 gg when in fact they are 28 g with only 1 g of dietary fiber. So much for help. What else less obvious is off?
