ALS is a deadly disease that didn’t want to let go of me. I went from hope to planning my own death as a way of escaping this demon.
My journey is a view into the life of a person who needs 24-hour care, never any privacy. I was given 18 months to get my affairs in order.
That lead me to seeking a higher power than the doctors. I have never witnessed an energy healing until it happened to me.
This book is my call to each of you and your family who are challenged by ALS. My frame of mind was my only power.
My recovery was a miracle to me.
My wife, Mona, says it was a combination all the puzzle pieces I brought into play.

You need to read this
I just read this book, and the author’s plain, engaging writing style allowed me to finish it in just under two hours.I am currently struggling with ALS myself, and the author’s vivid recounting of the spiritual healing that took place literally brought tears to my eyes- tears of hope, as it were.Prior to reading the book, I was unable to raise my left arm more than 5° from my side. However, after the tears of hope subsided, I was able to lift my left arm up over my head repeatedly, with only minimal difficulty. The effect was fairly short-lived, although even now, I’m still able to lift my arm up to about 15°, and that improvement has persisted. Perhaps more importantly, his testimony has affirmed my conviction that there is no such thing as false hope.This guy has guts- even now, when I think of the picture of him crawling towards the chair he was attempting to lift himself up into, I get tears in my eyes, as well as a renewed desire to fight.If you are struggling with this horrible disease, or if you love somebody who is affected by it, this book is an absolute must read.Thank you so much, McFinn, for sharing your struggles and your message of hope. Your testimony will surely serve to increase the community of ALS survivors, who will in turn share their stories, thereby creating a downstream ripple effect far greater than anything you can imagine.God bless you.

McFinn Lovere is a legion and a one man support team! The book, The Tale of an ALS reversal was captivating, I didn’t put it down once I started to read it. Powerful story, candid prevention a tale that gives hope to the hopeless.
I absolutely loved the candidness of the author. I listened to the book on one road trip; having tears several times during the reading. This book.gave me hope as I’m concerned about my ALS symptoms. I seem to have found some relief through Melatonin and Taurine. Dr’s are of no help to me in terms of lifestyle health. They have no concept of holistic care. They can not think for themselves or work outside their statin programed protocols. I’m sure there are many good Drs.; I just haven’t found one yet.

Interesting journey
This wasn’t actually what I was looking for but it was interesting to see the journey and process. My loved one has Bulbar ALS so it’s a bit different journey.It’s an interesting read for those looking for the insights of someone dealing with ALS. The flip flop between placebo, spiritual and faith was… Personally annoying but I understand it’s how the author was describing his own journey and processing.

Perfect timing

A truthful depiction of a most difficult diagnosis
McFinn’s ALS journey is not only very personal but informative to anyone faced with ongoing muscle loss, fatigue and fear that accompany an ALS diagnosis. Merci pour ce livre et l’espoir qu’il procure.J’avais déjà lu celui de Nelda Buss mais celui-ci m’inspire plus encore.McFinn partage sans tabou son ressenti, qu’il soit positif ou négatif.En tant que malade de la SLA, je m’y identifie facilement et retrouve cette idée selon laquelle il y a quelque chose de plus grand que nous et que notre personne ne se résume pas à notre corps.Nelda Buss et McFinn ont eu la chance d’avoir un conjoint aimant à leur côté pour combattre cette maladie. Ce n’est pas le cas de tous les malades, j’en sais quelque chose. De fait, se raccrocher à des histoires comme celle-ci est vital, même si ce ne sont que de minuscules étincelles dans l’obscurité.

I’m so glad this person survived his ALS reversal. It’s not very common for people to get healing from this deadly disease. He seems very optimistic and positive despite his really severe depressive episodes that seemed to come and go in his life. I could not stop reading this book until it finished. It only took me a couple of hours to read it. whether you believe in spirituality is totally up to you, but this guy seemed to embrace his spirituality to the fullest and he got a good outcome from it.
