DESIGN!
I have purchased at least 6 of these belts.WHY rate as 5 Star when three of them have started to “shred” at the seams (see attached Foto)? Because their DESIGN works so much better for us than any of the other Alternative Assist Belts we have tried. My wife has Advanced Parkinson … canNOT walk or do much of anything without Assistance. We use this belt CONSTANTLY. First one started “coming loose” at seams. Thought was maybe just bad stitching. Ordered 2nd one … and eventually same story. Normally would not order any more … but these belts work so much better than the others we tried … that I ordered TWO more next time (Red & Blue in center of Foto). Red eventually started coming apart also. I started wondering … was it the stitching? … too much usage by us? … What? (We use this belt a LOT!)For the current Blue belt … I started ALTERNATING the Handgrip Holes. Monday –> left hand Inner hole … right hand using hole at End of belt. Tuesday –> each hand using Middle hole. Wednesday –> reverse Monday arrangement. Thurs, Fri, Sat –> repeat. Sunday –> “free” day to grab wherever I want. So am trying to Distribute the Stress around each of the Hand Holes. Then I started to wonder IF the problem was the “Decorative Colored” material (i.e., Blue, Green, Red). Maybe that was the part that was giving away too early/easily.I also “worried” that with all the availability of products … maybe this belt might become “Currently Unavailable” … so, just in case, I just ordered 2 more as BACKUPS.BUT THIS TIME … WITH A DIFFERENCE … I ORDERED BOTH OF THEM AS THE BLACK OPTION … thinking that, perhaps, this might help avoid the colored “add-on” decorative sections which seem to tear loose. Both these TWO latest Black Options are still in original packaging (see right side of Foto). Besides, the Black Option is $3 less than the colored ones.Under normal usage, the colored options will probably work OK. If, like us, you OVER-work these belts … then you might want to consider the Black option.Although each of the first 3 belts started shredding … THEY SEEMED TO STILL BE STRUCTURALLY STRONG … so maybe could have just continued using first belt, although it was starting to look “ugly”!FYI … I JUST WENT AND CHECKED each of the first 3 belts … and in each case it was the COLORED material that started shredding …. THE BLACK MATERIAL LOOKS BRAND NEW!I also just checked Order History … and see that 1st belt was ordered in March 2019 … so close to three years ago. Best guesstimate is that each of the first 3 belts has lasted about one year … under VERY HEAVY Usage … to give some idea of durability.Curious to know that if FIRST belt was the Black Option, would we still be using it today. 🙂

Study & comes in handy
So far this has held up well. I use it to help with caregiver duties when needing to reposition my Mom in her bed.

Useful tool but not as sturdy as I would like
My wife is 130 pounds and is confined to a wheel chair. This transfer belt works very well to shift her from the wheel chair to the chair lift to get upstairs. Right length on it and the 3 different hand holds make placing for best use convenient. No issues with functionality. quality seemed good when it arrived but after about 2.5 weeks of use the material along the top seam is ripping. It could rip further with use so don’t want to continue to use. looks like a strain point that maybe should have been reinforced a bit and wasn’t. overall a great product just didn’t hold up well.

THE BEST. A MUST BUY.
This is the best transfer sling that I’ve ever used. It is like a breeze for both patient and caretaker.First of all, the sponge pad is really comfortable. It can hold heavy legs for pretty long time without the patient being sweaty nor feeling pain. The touch is pretty soft too so jiggling wouldn’t hurt the skin either. Then, the hand holder part is pretty friendly too. I lifted a 200lb patient from bed to wheelchair, and feel no pain at all on my hands.Overall I’d say, if you’re looking for a transfer sling, this one is a MUST BUY. I just love it so much.

Makes picking someone up much easier
Great buy!!! Bought this to help mom stand up out of her wheel chair or other occasions where we need to lift her. Once she is sitting on it, there are many great ways to help lift her from behind bringing her to her feet where she can stand. Once time when she was on the floor and could not get up, we had her sit on this and picked up with the handles setting her in a chair where she was able to stand the rest of the way. This now rides in the wheel chair so she is already sitting on it if needed. One note, if you don’t line up the sling where she is sitting on it, it can dig in a bit and hurt or as you lift, it might slide out from under causing them to fall back in the seat.

Game changer!
This purchase has been a true game changer in assisting my husband! We use it to go from a sitting position to standing. Just used it to help him out of the walk in shower! I’m eight inches shorter than him which is a disadvantage when handling/helping him. Where has this been the last few years? Truly a back saver and a true game changer!

Pretty Handy
This item is used for an elderly, overweight person with very poor mobility who need pulled from even lift chairs. It works pretty well. It would be a great improvement though if it had at least one more handle extension on each side, and if the finger grip sections had a thicker, softer rib sewn in to make it more comfortable on the caregiver’s hands. It is very good for the price though, at approximately $26 at time of purchase in January of 2018.
