Strong, Smooth, and Easy to Use
This transfer board feels sturdy and stable, featuring a smooth sliding disk that enhances movement safety and control. The reinforced design holds weight confidently without bending, and the rotating disk adds convenience during transfers. The material is solid, easy to clean, and far more durable than wood options at a reasonable price.

Expensive…but lightweight and helpful case
Practically-speaking, this is the most useful slide board I’ve had (I’ve tried 4): not heavy, comes with carrying case, and curved for better access. But like everything else, it has a few down-sides.I’ve been using a wooden one which is sturdier than this but way way too heavy to be portable. Mercifully, this is plastic and weighs only 5+ lbs. What differentiates it from others out there is it comes with a canvas travel case. It’s an awkward half-circle shape but I’m a short female and have zero problems carrying it, even if the straps aren’t long enough for shoulders. The case includes space for an identifier card, a nice travel touch. Btw, my case measures 33″ along the straight edge, so not sure why the product page makes it look like 40″. (The board itself is 32.5″ straight across at it’s widest.)The board is solid and won’t crack under a normal-sized person. The disc spins so it transfers people between two spots and from side to side. The “ride” is smooth if you use the vaseline along the inside rails plus on the top right next to the rails (you don’t have to go overboard, but a tiny bit on top works wonders). Finally, I looked up why this one is curved since my others are straight – curved is supposed to be better for transfers between surfaces at angles to each other, or transfers between surfaces with armrests. So curved is more widely useful than straight. It’s not perfect. The main issue is the sliding disc wobbles (see video); it’s def not as bad as my wooden one but it might frighten elderly all the same. My bigger concern is that the so-called “non-slip” surface underneath is the same plastic. I’d feel better if it had some rubber underneath for use on smooth hard surfaces like porcelain tubs. Mostly though, I don’t understand this price. It seems excessive for plastic. Probably you’re paying for the carrying case? There’s also a transfer sheet, but with this type of fancy slider I don’t think you’ll need that. So ask yourself how much you’ll be lugging this around and whether the extra big bucks are worth it. My 4 stars is for the cost, wobble, and anti-slip concerns, but I’m being hard on it because of the cost. If you can afford it, the case is super helpful.

Might work for some, I found it TERRIBLE! HEAVY, THICK, CLUMSY and didn’t work well!
I’ve been making independent transfers for 15+ years, and found this far less usable than the wooden boards they put down in the advertising…This is HEAVY compared to the wood board I didn’t weigh them on a scale, but it takes no effort for me to pick up my wood board and I had to work to pick up this one. This board is EXTREMELY THICK, about three times the thickness of my usual wood board which makes it all but impossible to get under your butt, especially since it doesn’t have tapered ends like my wooden board (Which is still in good shape after 15 years…)It is hard to grab. My wooden board has two convenient cutout handles, this board has no place to grab, except the slot in the middle for the slider (Which they tell you not to use as it’s a pinch point) which will be greasy if you follow the instructions to lubricate the slider. It is CLUMSY – the slider doesn’t stay put and this adds to the problems of getting it under you, and the curved path is harder than the straight line of my wood board.I will admit not greasing the slider as called for in the instructions, but In BOTH of the two transfers I attempted (Chair to bed in both directions) After great difficulty in even getting the board positioned, my but just slid right across the slider so that part was more hindrance than help. The case looks nice at first glance, but I don’t know what anyone would use if for and one of the zipper sliders on my case couldn’t be used and the other one was clumsy as was the entire process of trying to get the board into the case and zip it closed. It is interesting to note that none of the pictures show the board being used in an ACTUAL TRANSFER, and at least one is obviously staged as it would not be possible for the lady to transfer into the car with the chair arm down unless she was picked up OVER the armrest. All of the photos also showed the lowest quality cheap variety of chairsI feel like this product was designed by someone that may have seen a slide board, but had never actually USED one…
