TruVision Readers 9504H Reading Glasses for Men & Women 1 or 3 Pk

I bought these on the advice of my eye doc. He said that at nearly 50 years old that he was surprised that I had gone as long as I have without needing reading glasses. Although he said I only needed a very small prescription and could either get them or wait it out a little longer. So, I found these and reluctantly ordered them because I hate the thought of having to wear, maintain, and keep up with glasses. Okay, so I get these and try them on and BAM! it was like I had been trying to read in a dark room. I couldn’t believe that my eye doc said it was only minor. I have had these for a couple months now and still there is not a day that goes by that I don’t do the old with-without test just to see the difference.When I ordered these I was extremely skeptical. I mean how could you get three pairs of reading glasses for that price and they be any good? Well, my fears went away when I tried them on for the first time, but I was still waiting for the bomb to drop. I figured okay, one pair was good – no, I mean great, but there’s no way that I will get that lucky and have all three pair not have something wrong with at least one of them. Well, I was wrong again. All three pair work perfectly and I have absolutely no problems with any of them at all.I still don’t like the idea of having to wear reading glasses, but since I do I am very glad I found these. I also like the fact that you get three pair. I drive a truck and I keep one pair where I can reach them from the driver’s seat, one pair in my sleeper area for reading – obviously, and one pair beside my chair at home.The only thing I don’t like about them is the fact that they literally suck the finger prints right off your fingers and onto the lenses! I know I’m new at wearing reading glasses, but seriously, it’s insane how many times I am cleaning these things. I guess you don’t realize how many times you touch your face until you start wearing glasses. I wish I could hook some kind of tazer up to them and maybe that would make me a little more aware of where I’m sticking my fingers.Oh, I almost forgot. A couple weeks after I ordered these, TruVision customer service contacted me to see if I was satisfied with my order. I am a HUGE fan of the lost art of customer service. I don’t care how good a product or service is, if the customer service experience is bad then I am done with them. That definitely was not the case here and it was a very welcome surprise considering the cost of these glasses.I’m still trying to figure out how long I’ve been running around with blurry peepers. Even when I went to see my eye doc I didn’t think anything was wrong. Hmm, just weird.

Old enough to where a thank you counts
I was having a hard time reading my computer monitor and decided it was time to get new readers. There are many different manufacturers and, frankly, these TruVision readers are more expensive than most. While I was working, I would go to Costco, buy a three pack, and discard them after they were scratched enough to make it hard reading, about a month for each pair. These readers are about $12 more expensive and I think they are going to be worth the money. The first thing I noticed is that the frames are a lot more substantial. They don’t feel cheap. The fit, for me, is excellent. Lens clarity is what I would expect. It seems unusual that they also come in .25 power increases. At Costco and drugstores they are usually .5.The kicker was a follow-up thank you e-mail the day after I received them. Do I think the co-founder of TruVision sat down and wrote a thank you note after being notified that I had received her product? Or, do I think someone sat down and wrote a computer sub-routine that would generate a thank you note after being informed by another sub-routine that it’s product had been delivered? Absolutely! It was just a thank you note and here I am going on and on about it. That is how unusual a thank-you note is. And by that thank you sticking in my mind I will probably go back (as long as there are no massive failures in the glasses) and buy from TruVision again.

The glasses are well made! Very sturdy and easy to keep in my shirt pocket when not wearing. The perfect size for men or women. Highly recommend!
