Timers are so great to have for kids with adhd, but the visual component and the color scheme go so far in keeping kids engaged and aware! There is an alarm that goes off when time is up, but it is four beeps long and then it shuts off on its own. Anyone who uses their phone or other electronic timers regularly knows the struggle of having to go out of your way to silence the thing. Also, there is no ticking or otherwise distracting sound as the time winds down. It is silent unless you put it to your ear while it’s running. I know that technically, that’s not silent, but I hear electricity. It’s close enough for me to be comfortable using that term in context with folks who have sensory sensitivities.I can not adequately describe how much of a difference this little timer is making in our lives. Being able to simply glance at the bar to gauge where he’s at has eliminated the moans and groans that tend to come with an expired timer and helps put small increments of time into perspective when I say “Okay, we’re going to spend ten minutes tidying up and then you can get back to fun stuff.” We’ve only had it for a few days, but so far, my son is much less resistant to chores and homework. He looks at the bar and is a lot less overwhelmed by the interruption when he sees that it is a pretty small chunk of time we’re dealing with.I’m not sure what to expect as far as longevity goes. It is very light, so I am a bit fearful that a good drop will break the internal components, but I haven’t seen them, so I genuinely don’t know if that is a problem. At this price point, I will happily replace it if that does happen and if it meets a premature end, I’ll be sure to update with the details. We’re using this thing a LOT, so if there is no update, you can rest assured it’s still going strong.

Great for toddlers!
This is super helpful to me as a toddler mom! It really helps my kiddo with transitions since he can actually see how much time he has left on a certain activity! The alarm sound that goes off is pretty loud and jarring, so that is the only downside to this. It has a switch on the back to turn off the sound, but the timer doesn’t count down with the sound is switched off (might just be a fluke with ours).

Accurate Visual Timer but Silent Mode Doesn’t Work
The timer is a nice size, and the color is calming. I really like the visual countdown. It’s very useful for my son, and the timekeeping itself is accurate. The problem is with the silent mode. Instead of just disabling the alarm, flipping the switch on the back actually stops the timer from working altogether. That means it only functions in alarm mode, which is disappointing since I specifically ordered it for the silent option along with the visual representation. I assume the one I received is defective and it should work as described.

Simple, Effective, and Kid-Approved!
This 60-minute visual timer has been a game-changer in our household. My 5-year-old really struggles with understanding time, and this gives her a clear, visual way to see how much is left . Great teaching tool
I got this for my friend, who’s a teacher. She was looking for a simple timer to help her kids stay on track during reading assignments. This alarm is perfect for a classroom. It was very easy to set up. It does need a AA battery, but once that’s taken care of, you just set it to whatever your desired time setting is and that’s it. We tried comparing the timer to our phones and the timer is accurate so far. It’s also easy to read, so she can tell her students quickly how much time is left. We haven’t tried the silent alarm yet because we haven’t needed it, but the standard alarm is nice and loud. It’s been working so far to help keep the kids on task. It’s a surprisingly valuable tool for a teacher!
