Customers say
Customers find the utensil set works better than regular silverware and is particularly helpful for Parkinson’s patients. The wide handles make them easy to grip, and customers appreciate how they make eating easier. While some customers find the utensils well-made and worth the money, others note they’re not made of high-quality materials. Customers disagree on the weight and size of the utensils.

Just What He Needed
My husband has been recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He fell breaking his humerus bone up in the shoulder blade area. He went to rehab for a while where I was arriving in time to feed him every day because he was so shaky and couldn’t use his right hand to feed himself. In rehab the OT gave him a weighted spoon with a large handle that reminded me of the one we used with one of my preschoolers with CP. These are not heavily weighed but have a textured grip that keeps them from slipping. The grip is the same as on the one he was using in rehab. The metal part is bendable and a good standard size. The cost is comparable to some brands that will send only one utensil where in this set you get 3. My daughter and I have washed them several times in the sink with no problems. [I’ve long removed my dishwasher so I can’t say how they hold up in one.] I may order another set so that we can have them available between washings. My husband enjoys being able to feed himself, so they work very well for him.

Improves eating experience
Husband has MS and weak hand strength. The handles are just the right size for a good grip.I liked that they are bendable but for now he likes them straight as is. Fork is a bit thin but its ok.

Good for Parkinsons
Well made and easy to hold for trembling hands. The spoon is larger than normal teaspoonds wich makes it easier to use. They seem a tad heavy but that deoes makethem very stable in the hand.

It really works!
Bought this for a friend with Parkinson’s and it worked great for her. It looks a bit clunky, but it provides stability while eating. Definitely a good investment to keep your independence.

Fantastic
My husband has essential tremors, which makes spilling food frustrating! He loves this set! Helps steady his hand getting the food to his mouth without spilling much.

Works great for arthritic hands!

Mi único comentario, y no es queja en lo absoluto, es que preferiría que el producto fuera un poco más pesado, pues no logró facilitar de forma importante el manejo por una persona que padece Parkinson.

Ordered it for my 89 year old mom, nit for arthritis but for her tremor that has made it very difficult to eat things like soup or porridge or cut her other food. She loves it and it has made it much easier for her to eat as the larger handle reduces the intensity of the shaking of the spoon or fork. Perfect for anybody with a tremor. I will another set for her!
