Great Product!
We got this for our 11 year old son with DMD. We first bought the one without the leg straps and did not like it. It always moved around and became very uncomfortable for him. We saw the one with the leg straps and decided to give it a try. The leg straps really help keep the belt in place and makes the lifting a carrying process much more comfortable for those lifting and those being lifted. We used it throughout our trip at Disneyland and was a huge success. It worked perfectly and it was a lifesaver when one of the rides broke down after we left the platform. We were able to lift our son out of the cart and get him safely back in to his power chair. The only downfall we found was the leg straps are a little difficult to adjust, but once you get used to it, it gets easier. We would definitely recommend this product to anyone with mobility and/or gait issues. It saved my back and made our trip much easier and comfortable for all.

Most sturdy gait belt I’ve used
I’ve had a few gait belts in the past and they always, without fail, ride up when someone grabs them to transfer me, regardless of how tight the belt is.This belt solves that problem by adding straps to the legs. With those extra loops, there’s no way the middle belt around the stomach can ride up.Only cons I can think is that it’s not really comfortable during the transfer and I can’t stretch my legs straight. Since I’m short (<5'), I have to adjust the leg straps to be smaller so the stomach loop doesn't have space to ride up. This makes the leg loops makes them tighter during the transfer and a little uncomfortable. Also, the tighter leg straps prevent me from stretching my legs straight (i.e. I can't stand) which could be a problem for people who are able to assist during transfers (I can't help/stand so it wasn't a big deal for me).One reviewer said that his 5' mother could not use this belt. I think they must not have adjusted the default size because I can use it just fine. Sure it's not super comfortable but the transfer is quick and more pain free than transferring without it.

Works well, but there’s a learning curve
Works well when properly applied but it takes sometime to learn it’s idiosyncrasies

Easy to install on a fallen patient.
This is a well constructed Patient lift belt. The addition of leg straps prevents the belt from slipping when lifting the patient. I ordered this belt after attempting to lift my wife, after a fall. Due to recent surgeries, there was nothing to grasp for lifting. I had previously used a similar belt when lifting an elderly person and realized the need for the leg straps. I would purchase this belt again.

Difficult to put on
This is a solid product. My mother has Parkinson’s and it was very difficult to put the straps on her legs. I could only do it if she was standing and it is a challenge to have her stand, she can’t really support herself, so that required 2 people to be able to fasten the legs.

Seller Delivered – Product Didn’t
The belt was delivered promptly. However, I strongly recommend against buying this product. The webbing used on the belt is coarse, rough and stiff. The “quick-release” snaps used on the leg straps are just plain awful. They make the length of the leg straps almost impossible to adjust. Also, if there’s any tension on the snaps, they’re incredibly hard to release. (I got a blood blister on each thumb trying to get them off.) And lastly, if the leg straps are adjusted to keep the belt from rising when the user is standing, they’ll likely be too tight for the user to sit down.

Gatebelt-harness
I do not like the regular gate belts. They slip and hard to control which makes it hard to keep person stable. This belt goes around legs and around waist making it a better fit. It has handles across the back allowing you to hold on where needed. My husband is learning how to walk and this helps keep him stable while you hold him while doing his exercises and walking. Good product and fast service.
