Good Assist eating tools. Both plates are very helpful.
These Vive Spill-proof Scoop Bowl & Plate set are a great addition to any household that has a need for adaptive eating equipment. The plate and bowl help to make meals a bit easier to enjoy. A rubber rim on the bottom of the plate keeps it from sliding as you push food again the lipped edge and the rubber suction base on the bowl holds it in place. The dishes are lightweight and easy to hold and handle. They are microwavable and dishwasher safe. The color is an attractive blue. They function as stated, helping those with special needs to be more independent. However, since the dishes are so lightweight, they also may not be stable enough for those with a more extreme disability. We got these for an elderly relative that lives with us. She has a slight problem with her hands, and these dishes were perfect for her. But I they may be difficult for people with more challenges. These are good as adaptive eating equipment. Just be aware of the level of need.

Got this for hubby, but we both love it !
I got this set for my husband who had a stroke and cannot use his left hand. They are a great help with him feeding himself. They stay put on his hospital bedside table, due to the nonskid bottoms. They’re very sturdy and durable. He especially likes the upper lip on each item that helps to scoop the food onto the spoon. I like this feature too, as it helps with him not putting too much food on the spoon and possibly choking on it. He was always one of those guys that took huge bites of food. I worried about that before the stroke, but even more since the stroke. Now. I have a little more peace of mind with him using this set, that he can’t do that anymore. It says that its dishwasher safe, but I’m just a hand wash girl. The home we live in now has a dishwasher but I’ve never used it. The size is great. I can give him a variety of foods on the plate and in the bowl, without overloading them and having waste, because he doesn’t eat as much as he used to. This set is a blessing for both of us. He can enjoy eating on his own, and I can relax in knowing that he can do this for himself. We have a local buffet restaurant that we love to go to. I bring his plate and bowl and they allow it. Now, he can enjoy his meal in public without being self conscious about spilling food all over. I’ll be buying a couple more of these, just to have them for traveling and at home. Thanks for reading. Have a blessed day ! 🤗

    Not bad really
This plate and bowl are okay and they are usable, but there are some drawbacks. They are lightweight plastic that is kind of cheap looking and feeling. There’s a slightly raised seam running through near the middle of the plate. The plate has a nonslip rim around the base that is somewhat helpful in achieving its purpose. The bowl has a suction cup, which seems to be of pretty decent quality and sticks well to very smooth nonporous surfaces. It seems to stay on the bowl well too (they were in two separate pieces in the package, but it’s easy to attach).I like that these are dishwasher and microwave safe. The size is on the smaller side but is reasonable enough. I think $14.99 seems a bit high for this set overall, but they may be useful.

    Not that great
The bowls are made of very cheap feeling plastic. It’s not on the level of disposable plate plastic but on the levels of a cheap knock-off Fisher Price plastic. These slide around a lot on certain surfaces. If you have it on a sticky cover, it’ll be okay. The suction plate?Bowl thingy it comes with is 100% grade A useless. Doesn’t really act too much like a suction cup. It’s there to really prevent the table from burning from hot soup I guess. If you were at a Dollar Tree and saw these for $1.00 or $1.99 I’d get it. For the current price of $15….I’d go somewhere else. Also that anti-spill feature is useless.

    Rims are Good; Non Non-Slip
This Spill-Proof Scoop Bowl & Plate Set from Vive is plastic and easy to clean. Both pieces are thick enough that it feels like they will hold up well and do not seem brittle. The rims of both the plate and bowl are functional and make it easier to load utensils. The problem is that the set may not be stable enough. The pieces are not weighted to keep them from traveling if the user is relying on larger arm motions to manipulate utensils. The plate lacks any kind of suction and the narrow non-slip ring provides little in the way of traction. The base for the bowl did not stick well to either a wooden dining table nor to a variety of countertop surfaces. Putting a Dycem No-slip Placemat under these greatly improved their usefulness. At that point, we completely removed the bowl base since it was too easy to dislodge the bowl from the base itself while scooping as the placemat held the base in position. If you are expecting these to stay in place on the table without any additional equipment or the user stabilizing them, you’re likely to be disappointed. If you already have a Dycem mat and are just looking for an easy to clean set with scoop rims, they work fine. Overall, I consider these a 3 and a half star item since the scoop rim is functional but the non-slip property fails.

Stays where you put it & I couldn’t make a mess.
I have not truly tried this Spill-Proof Bowl with a big hindrance. With shaking hands I’d did and it worked perfectly. It’d be great to use after a surgery or having to use your Non-Dominant hand. It is very well made thick plastic that you won’t break if you did drop it or something. But it stayed firmly in place while I tried to make a huge mess, that didn’t happen. It would be great as a kids or toddlers bowl also. For this price, I’ll be ordering more when needed.
