Quick and Safe
SOOOO much easier to lift…saves on your own body! Much easier to use than narrower belts you need to buckle, before lifting…especially when needing to get somewhere quickly!

Simple Gait Belt
I got this Vive Standard Transfer Sling for my Elderly mother who struggles getting up from a sitting position. She still has some strength but is weaking and I figured this may be useful to assist. The product came fast in original packaging to save trees and it was shrink wrapped. Instructions were clear.Following instructions and using good posture I tried it this morning with my mom getting up out of a chair x2, up out of bed x1 and x1 off of the toilet. As mentioned, she has strength but it takes a while. With this around her waist she had more confidence getting up as she felt secure with the belt around her and me there. She also moved faster. The thickened hand holds where comfortable for my hands as I assisted her.I like this product more than another one we have which requires me to strap her in like we we going to jump out of a plane. It is simple, and works, at least for us. I am confused as to why the instructions say you need two people when the ad and pictures on the instructions only use one. Anyway-we will be using it for sure.

Good quality.
I got this to help my elderly uncle get up from sitting positions, but I find that it probably works better for people who are semi-mobile and just need a little bit of help to get up. My uncle on the other hand, can’t stand up on his own at all so it isn’t a matter of just giving him a little bit of help and momentum. This being the case, I find that this sling isn’t as effective as I thought it would be because what happens is that he just gets pulled forward when we need to literally lift him up. With a person who might have some mobility, it can take a load off until they get up to their feet so it would be more effective. I think this would also work really well for maybe an injured person who has some knee problems and just needs a little bit of help up. With all that said, while this didn’t work well for me, I think it’s still a really good item because the quality is really nice. The stitching is good, and the material construction is solid. I also really like the fact that it has double straps so it’s very secure and provides some safety measures.

Perfect for stow and go lift assist. Perfect for back protection
I purchased this for my grandmother. This is a lift/lowering assist for someone who is weight bearing but needs that little extra assistance to get up and be lowered back down. This item is a life saver the backs of those who do the assisting. This item is perfect for home physical therapy sessions as well to help your loved ones build their leg muscles back up. We use this to do “up/downs”, assist standing up and sitting down for a few repetitions and sets(just like a regular exercise). This is also great for transfer assistance from a wheel chair to a sitting chair or to a toilet, or to and from the bed. This strap is really versatile and can be used for a multitude of assistance for your loved one.The quality of this particular unit is decent, it’s made of thick but pliable nylon with double stitched straps and even comes with padded Velcro handles to keep your hands comfortable while using. the interior of the strap is vented to assist with keeping airflow and cool while being wrapped around your loved one. This VIVE transfer assist strap with help your loved ones THRIVE and save your back too.

Nice quality, compact, affordable mobility aid
This is stitched very well and secure. If you have a loved one who suddenly becomes immobile, you know you can easily spend a small fortune quickly trying to get all the helpful gizmos you need. While every patient is different, this is a smart reasonably priced tool that can be used in a lot of different situations, including when you are away from the house and don’t have all the other premium tools available. You will still need physical strength, but it’s good to have things that help the caregiver too. This will probably not be your only aid, but for the price it’s worth trying and can be helpful in small places that are hard to use bigger tools in.

This transfer sling is a winner!
I use this to transfer my 200 pound husband from bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to bed and even into the car. We had been using a gait belt for security, but this is so much better. First, it allows me to safely transfer him without putting strain on either my back, or his arms, shoulders or back. He likes it, because it’s quick and easy to put in position, then folds up and stores in the back of his wheelchair when not in use. He especially likes that unlike a gait belt, the sling is non-binding so he doesn’t mind leaving it around his back when not in use, but ready to go when we’re out for medical appointments that will entail several transfers The sling is well made, very sturdy and I have confidence that it will hold up through the multiple daily transfers. I did find it odd that the instruction mention for two person assist only when all the photos online and in the instruction booklet show only one person assisting. Sends a strange message.

Not for someone with balance issues or leg weakness
This transfer sling didn’t work as well as I had hoped it would. I was not able to balance my mother well during transfers from her bed or chair to her wheelchair, and there is no way to prevent someone with weak legs from slipping out of the sling. Also, the somewhat padded handle covers weren’t quite wide enough for the Velcro to stay closed. This might be a useable product for someone who doesn’t have balance or weakness issues, but those handles coming undone are simply not safe. It could cause a fall if the handles were to slip out of the caregivers hands.
