Not for every type of Power Chair
I got this walker holder in the hopes it would make transporting my mother easier. I got her a zoomer power chair, and while most of the time she uses it to get around our home, there are places it is hard for it to go, such as the bathroom or certain places I take her out to. I was hoping she could use this walker holder to put her walker in and be able to easily transition to it when needed. Unfortunately, it did not work out for us. I did read the ad, it is supposed to work for powerchairs from 6″ to 26″, which the zoomer powerchair fits well within. When trying to attach it, it became obvious that the walker holder was too long. I tightened the straps up as much as they would allow, doubling them back onto themselves, but still the walker holder rubbed against the back wheels of the powerchair. The rubbing was obvious and noisy and would have eventually worn through the material of the walker holder. It did seem to be of good quality material and the Velcro straps are strong, no worry of it coming lose, but it is not completely universal. I would suggest measuring your chair and making sure there is more than 25 inches from the top of the chair, where the top of the walker holder will set, to the top of the wheels. Also I think a strap near the bottom to secure the walker holder to the bottom of the power chair would be helpful, just a single adjustable strap to prevent the walker holder from moving around too much. Had I been able to use it, I was going to add one for more stability.
