Great heating pad if you know you need to use while sitting
Item is definitely a little bit loose; I am an average-sized person and I can imagine it would not work as well for small people. I find it adequate, especially with the waist tie. So far it seems to work well. It has timer settings for every 30-minute mark up to 120 minutes, and 6 heat settings; I find 4 to be hot enough. I do wish it heated the shoulders a little better; it heats my mid and lower back a bit more though I need it for the shoulders as well (it does heat my shoulders though). I got it because I needed to use a heating pad but that I would only do it if I could do it while sitting. This was a great solution!

    Wonderful for back muscle aches
Wonderful for back muscle aches! Heats up quick and I love that i can wear it and move and it moves with me. Its not too heavy, when you walk around with it unplugged it doesn’t stay warm. You can set the timer and not have to worry about falling asleep with it on. Its a great price, feels very soft. I recommend you stay in one place with it, it loses heat quickly, when you walk around with it on.

A great heating pad on most counts
I’ve had several of these weighted heating pads and have used this one for about two weeks. So far, I’m favorably impressed with it. I’d give it 9 stars on a 1-10 scale. Like most heating pads, it helps with relaxation and pain relief, and the cover is soft and comfy.Pros:+ It has six temp setting: The lowest (01) is 104 F, and the highest (06) is 140 F. (The default is 03.)+ It heats up in an acceptable time.+ It has four timer settings: 30 min, 1 h, 1.5 h, and 2 h (see photos). (The default is 30 min.)+ It’s lighter-weight and less bulky than most I’ve tried, even though the “micro-glass beads” are distributed more evenly throughout (instead of just on the edges, as in most others).+ The front part (which heats up to some extent) is weighted enough that the pad is well-balanced and doesn’t pull toward the back.+ The controller housing seems sturdy and protective, and though the display is a harsh bluish white, it dims slightly when not being adjusted so that it isn’t as distracting (see photos of heat level 03, and photo of timer level 2 H).+ The pad is generously cut in most areas; for example, the bottom is several inches wider than most others (see photos). From collar seam to bottom, it measures 24.5” (compared to 24” in some others), so it’s an excellent choice for a tall person.+ The dark teal green color and front quilting detail (see photo) are quite attractive.Cons:- Like nearly all weighted heating pads, this one extends the heating coils into the collar (neck) area. I think most people would appreciate this feature, but I dislike it because it places EMF closer to the user’s head and because the skin on the neck is sensitive, so (when the rest of the pad is the perfect temp) the collar feels too hot, and the heat can dry out the skin there (wearing a scarf or hand towel helps, but adds bulk). A heated collar is unnecessary anyway, since (as I know from having used a pad without this feature) PLENTY of heat radiates from the rest of the pad to the neck.- I’m not wild about how one portion of the back is inexplicably cut narrower (see photos; this pad is on the left in the pic showing two).- If I’m nitpicking, the back (from collar seam, 24.5” rather than 24”, like others) is a tad too long for me (though I’m somewhat short, and short-waisted). Therefore, IMO, this pad might not be a great choice for a very short person.Note: Like all (or at least most) weighted heating pads, this one has snaps and ties to secure it to the body. However, I have no comment on these features because I don’t use them. (I use heating pads only on chairs or the couch.)Overall, I consider this pad a great value. I can’t yet comment on longevity, but so far I’ve found the quality generally quite good, am appreciating the pad immensely, and would recommend it for people of medium to tall height. I will amend this review if my experience changes.

    Love This One
I have been using this for over two weeks now and I just LOVE it! If you are considering a heating pad, spend a bit more and get this one! Looks and works as described…the fabric is super soft. It gets super hot on the high setting…I was worried that the heat would not be strong enough, but that is not the case. I love that I can tie it to me, unplug it and walk around the house, if need be.

    FIRE HAZARD, Lasted 4 months!
This is the exact spot where the spark occurred — the plug-to-blanket connector melted and burned from the inside. Very dangerous.I bought this in July. By November, it had already failed in a way that put me at serious risk. The heating pad suddenly stopped warming, so I checked the detachable plug where it connects to the blanket. After reconnecting it, the heat came back briefly. Then, moments later, I watched a spark shoot out from that exact connection point. When I inspected it, the plastic at the cord-to-blanket plug had melted and burned from the inside. You can clearly see the damage in the attached photo. I never washed it, I didn’t bend the cord sharply, and I always used it over clothing — no misuse at all. It was basically new. This is more than defective — it is unsafe. If I hadn’t been standing in the room, this could have easily caused a fire. These connectors clearly are not designed to handle the heat and current they’re carrying. No one should have to worry that a product intended for pain relief might ignite under normal use. I will not buy from this brand again and strongly recommend removing this item from the marketplace until the design is corrected.

This worked okay for a couple weeks, then let me down when I really needed it. Will be returning!
