Window and Door Alarm When Opened
I felt a great need for an additional layer of safety that would notify me the instant a door or window was opened. This was because of the children’s inquisitiveness as well as when my parents sometimes forgot things. I was instantly attracted to this five-pack set of alarms because of how simple the installation seemed to be. Additionally, the alarms promised to have a loud warning that was 120 decibels in volume, which would be able to capture my notice before anything bad occurred. Even though I am normally apprehensive about anything that requires me to place sensors on doors and windows, the installation procedure turned out to be deceptively straightforward. One component of each alarm unit is attached to the frame, while the other component is attached to the movable section, such as a door or a windowpane. Both components are referred to as the alarm unit. In my opinion, the most important aspect of a good setup was the meticulous alignment of both components in such a way that the alarm would activate without fail if the door or window was even slightly separated from its respective position. The adhesive strips are robust enough to ensure that the sensors remain securely in place, but they are not so permanent that I would be unable to alter them if they were misaligned even slightly. Whenever my children are given the freedom to walk about, particularly when they go to the backyard door on their own, I am filled with a sense of self-assurance. In spite of the fact that I am engaged in activities such as cooking or doing laundry, I am able to hear the piercing siren that is 120 decibels in volume. It is loud enough that I can hear it from across the house. The decibel level could be enough to scare someone who is using it for the first time, but I soon understood that the sheer loudness of the device is what makes it such an effective deterrent. With such startling noise, it would be impossible to overlook someone who was attempting to sneak in or out of the building. Additionally, it provides me with a sense of calm for my elderly parent, who occasionally experiences feelings of disorientation and may wander around looking for a door without being able to recall the specific reason for their wandering.

Yes! So much YES!
These are great! They have great battery life for AAA batteries! Have had them on for over 2 months and they still work great! They are super loud! You can’t miss the noise and at its loudest the panic it causes will definitely get you out of bed immediately ready for a fight and wide awake! The adhesive is ok, works best on the larger piece than the small magnetic strips. Easy to install and a great value for your money! I sleep so much easier at night knowing these are installed on the windows and doors! You can even attach them to a window fan and a wall if you want your window open and they still function well! Would definitely recommend and purchase again!

Not impressed
Not practical for all doors. Very loud (which can be good if that’s what you want). Some of them didn’t even work out of the box even with new batteries so we sent them back.

Very loud!
I have these installed on the screens for my camper windows. And my doors. They are very easy to install I can leave my windows open and know if anybody’s messing with my screens. Very loud alarms.

I super like this pack of 2 door/window/patio door alarms! They have a nice and small form factor, not taking much room up at all! They do have 4 different options in terms of alarm output, which are set via clicking the “set” button on the right side of the alarm. Instructions on how to set each alarm, among other little tips that are also included. In addition to the small instruction booklet, the 2 alarms and their magnets you also get double sided tape, which is sized for each component.I must say, I had read the other review that’s listed under this product and it’s completely FALSE. This is a basic, easy to setup and even easier to use. It’s pretty basic, before adding the two sided tape. place the alarm where you want to install it. Make sure it fits properly and that you can line up the “set” word/arrow on the side of both components, once lined up and before taping them down, add two (probably best to use rechargeable) AAA batteries in it, hold the two components in place and flick the on button. Then Try sliding, opening, etc, your door or window and seeing if that works. If so, tape them down, I’d recommend pressing firmly for a moment or two to set the tape in and you’re done. There’s absolutely nothing, notta, 0 complication procedures to do in regards to these alarms! They work great and are super loud!I completely recommend them if you need this sort of alarm on a door/window or two!

I’m really happy with this window and door alarm; it gives me extra peace of mind when it comes to home safety. It’s very easy operate, and installation is quick and simple. All you have to do is line up the arrows on the base and the receiver, and it works perfectly, even if there’s a small gap between them.I really like that it has four different modes of operation for whatever best suits your situation. It’s simple to tell which mode you’ve selected thanks to the number of beeps you hear when switching; it is very intuitive! The only small drawback is that you do need a smooth surface for the pieces to stick well, and while the adhesive strips are holding up fine so far, I’m not completely confident they’ll last forever. I did end up having to install the alarm differently than I had planned so that it had better surfaces to stick to, but it worked out OK.Overall, for the price ($25.99 CDN for two sets) and how easy it was to set up, this alarm is an excellent, inexpensive way to add a bit of extra security around your home.

Our windows are reasonably secure, but there’s always a chance that someone could insert a tool and pry them open. These alarms work perfectly to provide a very loud signal that someone has tampered with the windows. They are loud enough that they will probably scare off and would-be burglars, but they are also going to wake us up in the night to give us warning. Each alarm requires 2 “AAA” batteries that were not included. Lithium rechargeables work well here. It’s really easy to turn on the unit with the switch on the side and then set they alarm mode with a short-press of the “SET” button. There are four alarm settings, indicated by the number of beeps you hear when you press the “SET” button. The first is a traditional burglar alarm that runs for a minute whenever it is triggered. Two of them are “reminder ” type alarms that make a gentle sound when the alarm is tripped, and the last one alarms like the first, but it goes off when the contact is returned to its original position. The alarm is reliable. It is easy to silence by pressing the “SET” button in case of a false alarm. Installation is extremely easy using the double-sided tape strips provided.
