Good product but the app needs work
I bought this for an elderly parent. It works well, but you have to make sure you check that you’re still logged into the app every now and then. The alarm was triggered by accident and I did not get a notification because the app logged out for some reason. Hopefully they figure out how to avoid this because it could be dangerous in the event that the emergency contact doesn’t get the alarm notification.

Initial review
When I received the unit, I immediately reported that it was missing the on/off switch. Amazon promptly ordered me another one and “promised” me a $5 credit to my account, which I have yet to receive, but that’s another issue. When I received the second unit, it also had no on/off switch, but there is an opening on the back that says on/off. Now, I’m thinking, well, I guess there isn’t one, just some hole for no reason whatsoever. So, we hooked up the second unit, no switch was ever needed to do that, downloaded the SmartLife app (absolutely no subscription fees, so I’m not sure what the first reviewer was seeing) and tested the bracelet in every room in our large 6BR home, including having the SOS unit on the top floor and testing the bracelet from the furthest point in the basement. Both the SOS box and our smartphone apps worked perfectly. I only gave it three stars for two reasons, 1. I am currently away from the house about 50 miles, and we have not yet tested that when the bracelet button is pressed that I will get the alert on my app; and 2. I wish it was easier to put on for a Parkinson’s patient by himself. I will report back after we test the bracelet while I’m away from the house… stand by. We tested the device while I was at camp, 50 miles away, and it worked! The next night, I received an actual real SOS and my brother was being taken to the hospital by ambulance. I packed up and left camp. So glad I had this device. Now, if I could only get my $5 credit #Amazon!

No cigar but useful in a limited capacity
The first unit I received wouldn’t pair successfully at all and I had to have Amazon replace it. I did meet with success pairing the replacement, but warning: I could not pair it when using my WiFi network on 2.4Ghz. I was able to pair it using the 5Ghz setting, this even though the product manual clearly states “No Support 5Ghz”. Go figure! While the device is useful I can’t say I’m delighted with the (confusing at times) product manual instructions and I am still working my way through its setup options as time allows. For instance the manual states it is for a Multifunctional Pager yet the receiver’s page in the App lists the SOS pager (transmitter) device as “Detector” in “Accessories”. Detector? I was also disappointed to learn that to fully use the App’s features on my iPhone I have to enroll in a monthly pay/subscription service. You can use the device without subscription but you have to have the App launched and active on your phone to receive the notification/warning from the SOS pager when its button is depressed. This should have been stated in the Amazon product description, but there is no mention of it at all. This is rather deceptive even if unintentional and I feel I must report it to Amazon customer service so as to give a heads up to potential buyers.

A lifesaver- literally!
This product works just as described. I love that it doesn’t require a subscription service. It is easy to use and is comfortable on my dad’s wrist. Highly recommend!!!

A bit difficult to set up but works!
Their “Tuya” app is a bit difficult to interpret but was able to find some info on net that helped me get it done.Would like to increase the alarm time on my phone and there is an alarm timer setting but it’s for the base unit in my home.Otherwise it works!

Good peace of mind
The product works well for Android phones however one of my phone numbers sometimes doesn’t always sound the alert. And I’m not sure about Apple phones because it uses a different system

It works and all but the catch is that you have to buy a plan if you want it to call you or sms you. Without any plans, you get this awful sound notification on your phone. Like if it was an alarm from a prison going off or something.
