Works great after figuring out how to have it remember the tone you want from the 36 melodies.
What I like about this is that it will remember the melody you choose (out of 36) even after an unplug or power outage! However, the directions are in small print (need magnifying glass if not 20/20 vision).Sound is very loud! Lights change according to the melody it is playing.Here is how to have each receiver remember the melody you want (you have to re-program each transmitter with each receiver – unless you want the “Door Bell” tone as the default) :1) Cycle through the melodies you want with the middle melody button on receiver.2) When the melody you want sounds off, release the melody button then PRESS & HOLD the bottom button on the receiver until you hear a tone – then simultaneously press the transmitter button with your other hand to lock-in the melody.Now you are done with that particular transmitter/Receiver pair up. You will need to pair up the others the same way.

Not as good as I wanted it to be
This item started out working just fine. But it gave out 6 mos after purchasing it. The button doesn’t “talk” to the light unit anymore, even when they are sitting right next to each other.

I originally bought a standard doorbell for my parents, however the volume was just nowhere near loud enough for my hard of hearing mum to find useful if she wasn’t in the same room as the receiver, so it was promptly returned.This one, however, is fantastic. It has the usual range of awful Nokia-like chimes, as well as the classic bell, a really eye catching light up feature, and most importantly, it has a very loud setting! Excellent price and quality, very easy to set up.

I had been looking for a doorbell extension so that I could hear it when somebody was at my door. I never could hear the doorbell that was already attached. I also did want a doorbell that flashed lights, I thought it would be great to have one that caught my attention but could also remain silent if I had a migraine. The price on this doorbell kit was really great, I thought it could not possibly be as good as advertised. It is better! It was very easy to install. You will see from the video that the doorbell extension just simply plugs into your wall. That’s it! You simply decide which volume you want it to play at, that is on the top button that you can see me changing. The middle button changes the tune just as easily. It needs no batteries and there is no work to be done to this. The doorbell itself gives you two options to attach to your front door. It comes with two screws, take the cover off the doorbell and screw in the two screws, which are included, while the cover is off you just pull out the plastic tab so that the battery is now active. Battery is included. It gives you the second option to attach to your door, I chose the second option as arthritis made it too hard for me to attach with the screws.It is a double sided, very sticky patch. Simply peel off the backing from the patch attach it to new doorbell doorbell itself on the back, then you peel off the remaining paper from the sticky patch and attached to your door. Hold and press it, so it gets a good grip for 30 seconds. It has a very good grip. Mine has been up there a few weeks now in the rain in the cold and believe me it is solidly attached to the door. It is really great! No matter what room I am in now I can absolutely hear my doorbell with no problem anymore. I bought the one with two doorbell extensions, one for my living room, one for my bedroom. I have since had people ring the doorbell in that time and from any room in the house, I heard it clearly and easily. This is exactly what I needed, easy to install and very easy to work. There is no guesswork and no technical or physical issues that arose . I would definitely recommend this to anybody whether or not you are deaf, it is definitely worth the money. I am not a deaf person, but with my living room door shut, I could never ever hear the doorbell, that problem has now disappeared as I hear it every time now. even a child or a disabled person would have no problem installing/attaching the doorbell or the units. Battery life is recommended at three years. I’m very impressed and very happy with this kit and I highly recommend this. Very happy.
