Cards to Stimulate Your Own Intuitive Knowing
“Thoughts collide in the activity of expression, and the dance goes on with meanings that are beyond rational perception.” ~Dancing in the Mirror by Bryan WaltonFirst, I must say that these cards are quite beautiful and the edges are smooth and golden. Each card shows art that was chosen purely for its archetypal quality and classical style. The interpretation of the images are meant to encourage your own intuitive wisdom. The 50-card deck and small booklet are all you need to get started. The cards are divided into five key life areas: Fertility & Creativity, Partnership, Nurturance/Self-Care, Self-Expression, Enlightened Heart & Mind. These areas are clearly marked at the top of each card and the cards are color coded into pastel green, pink, yellow, blue and violet. Each life area is divided into developmental steps which are represented on the ten different cards. To use the cards you look at the image and then refer to the booklet for additional information as needed.Of course I was a little freaked out when the first card I picked was the “Risk vs. Safety” card which might have something to do with all the messages floating my way in books and here we find someone jumping out into the unknown. I set out the “How to use your creativity optimally” reading. The first card is supposed to tell me what I’ve learned about myself so far. I picked Fertility & Creativity VI Risk vs. Safety. Then, the second card is about what you are learning now and I found Nurturance/Self-Care V. Perfection vs. Imperfection. Then Card three is about your next step and that said: “Channel clearly.” Then, onward to card 4 where it speaks of how I can create value for myself and others: “Prepare.” The last card is supposed to show my Highest purpose and it says: “Complete and Move On.”Then, you can look in the booklet to see the deeper meanings of the images on the cards. All the artwork is rather beautiful and the cards are in themselves works of art. I was very pleased to find the “Art Credits” because otherwise I would have been eternally wondering who painted each picture, etc. From the cards I picked out I started to understand more about birthing new projects and seeing if creations will fly on their own. Am I being told that I am supposed to jump out into the unknown in some way? The third card was quite meaningful in that it explored the possibility of creating something of value for others that uplifts and assists them in their daily life. The fourth card seems to be saying I should make more time for exercise. The last card shows a woman sitting and reading beautiful books and is a painting by Bernardino Pinturicchio. The entire process of being inspired by the cards is a highly personal one and all the cards really seem to do is bring elements to the surface of your mind. I found that it was very easy to figure out what the cards were saying because the booklet was helpful and the pictures made complete sense. Basically you are using the cards as mirrors to reflect unconscious patterns to your conscious mind. I was very impressed with the first results of using this card set, although they were a bit too accurate. ;)You also get an education in art while you are being playful and intuitive.~The Rebecca Review

If I had Dr. Northrup as my physician I would have been healthy in mind, body and soul a long time ago. I believe she has probably forgotten more than most, so called, “doctors” know. Dr. Northrup educates, in depth and incredible scope, her knowledge of healing which is not limited to Western medicine. I currently have, from a teaching hospital/facility, mind you, an internist, cardiologist, genetics/endocrinologist…and probably a few others that I forgot. Know what? In nine months of health care they have collectively done nothing to heal me; they have failed to diagnose me; in short, they have been a waste of time and money…which I am beginning to believe is the POINT of how so called Western medicine is structured. After all, if we are healed, then we will not need to spend money on doctors and expensive drugs will we? Reading this book has been the most sobering experience of my life. Dr. Northrup also has a wicked sense of humor, which comes out delightfully in the most unexpected places. Every woman, and man, should read this book. And the book is extensively researched with many, many websites and other doctors’ information as addendums. Read this book. Then think about the medical care you have received all your life. I guarantee you that this book will save many, many lives; improve the quality of many lives; and educate America on the difference between the “doctor mills” and true healing and well-being. IF YOU BUY ONLY ONE BOOK THIS YEAR…BUY THIS ONE.

A Woman’s Guide: Physical, Emotional, Spiritual and Metaphysical.
You Can Heal Your Life, The Movie, Expanded Version: 90-minute DVD, plus 4 hours of additional interviews and an Interactive Affirmations Tool!I discovered Christiane Northrup, M.D. on the DVD and book “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louis Hay. Dr. Northrup both inspired me in the movie and in the bonus material. She has the credentials to speak authoritively. She is a Board Certified obstetrician and gynecologist with more than 25 years of clinical and medical teaching experience. She writes in this book of the Whole Woman: the physical, spiritual and metaphysical. She is in great company with Louis Hay, Dr. Wayne Dyer and other great spiritual teachers and pioneers. This massive volune of over 900 pages covers all the concerns of women and includes special areas as “The Female Energy System” including the “Matter/energy continuum”, “Earth Energy” and the “Chakras”. She makes the connection with each of the 7 chakras to the corresponding organ systems in the female body. This is straight talk about womanhood in all the stages of life. Some may want to read straight through but is also great as a woman’s reference. Alturnative healing ideas abound. Read it together with your husband and the both of you will find a new appreciation of that divine woman within.

This book is a classic that I wish I had read a long time ago before I got past the menopause, in fact well before then. It has still though inspired me to look more at my femininity and brought me to understand that by working in a man’s world and trying to work in a “masculine” way I have unbalanced my body and caused health problems. The author takes the reader through all of the phases of a woman’s life’s and shares learning and experiences from these stages. She writes about feminine creativity and how disruptions to that creativity can manifest in different health problems. She provides advice on dealing with health problems and on living well, listening to your body’s needs. This is a reference book to keep revisiting throughout your life.

I’ve had a digital copy of this book for months and I love it. I’m glad to finally have a paper copy so I can flip through easily and make notes and highlight my favourite parts. Sometimes having the book in physical form is better.
