Well-constructed
I think this is a great thing to have for those who are physically challenged yet want to remain independent…like my in-law. So far she loves this and says it really helps her without needing assistance. When we first introduced it to her, she looked at us funny. lol But now, she’s wondered why we didnt discover this earlier. lol-CAME ASSEMBLED! Yay- love that part. We were able to use it right out of the box.-Instructions on how to dissemble and reassemble were included just in case you need to break it down to travel. I thought that was very thoughtful of the manufacturer. Because we do travel a lot.-Beautiful wood! Nicely polished and smooth. No jagged edges that will cause injuries.-REAL WOOD not pressed wood…thankfully. Should last a long time.-Very good quality product. Seems very sturdy and safe. However, my MIL is very light in weight (100 lbs) so it’s perfect for her. I would be concerned if she were on the heavier side because the wood is not thick-thick and the middle doesnt have reinforcements installed. So, I wonder if a heavier person were to use this on a daily basis, would it eventually bend compromising the sliding mechanism?-Slides really well…nice and smooth. But it took my MIL a few times to get used to it. At first, she was sliding too fast and panicked. We patiently assisted her until she started getting the hang of it and had better control.-Not heavy which is important. My MIL is able to lift it & adjust it to her likings with no problems.-Comes with a washable seat cover. This product is definitely as advertised. It functions very well and easy to use. Would recommend.

Excellent workmanship and quality make an easy-to-handle board
This is by far the nicest (and easiest to handle) transfer board I’ve seen to date: The wood is polished and well sanded, and the hardware used to attach the moving seat to the board itself is top-notch. All motion is smooth, without feeling loose or uncontrolled. It’s lighter than many “man-made material” boards I’ve seen in the past, and the whole setup is well balanced and easy to manipulate into place. It arrived pre-assembled with extra hardware and a screwdriver included, and has a soft plush cover for the turntable piece that some may find even more comfortable (personally, I prefer the bare wood, but this is just preference, and it’s nice to have options). There may be less expensive options, but overall, I’m impressed with this, and definitely feel it’s worth the asking price (about $90 at time of this review).

Well Made Wooden Transfer Board, but Pricey
I like this board a lot, as it comes pre-assembled, glides well, has a sturdy wooden base, and honestly is easy to store, even with the seat track. My biggest two issues, is for 1) if the person being transferred is wearing loose clothing, it can fold over into the track, so that needs to be checked before moving the person, and 2) the price is significantly higher than a standard transfer board. I do understand the price difference as this board does indeed have a well moving track, rather than just a standard board, but still.

This transfer seat shuttles back and forth and rotates smoothly. But caveat emptor!
Unfortunately, I need to modify my original review below. It turns out that the wooden rotating seat is totally split along its grain. The 4 screws that support the seat are too close together in my opinion. Sitting on it, can leverage and thereby cause the wood to split. I think it is a design defect to use a such wide piece of wood without adequate support.Otherwise, this was my original review:This transfer board comes totally preassembled and is ready-to-go,As a bonus, they have even enclosed an extra set of all the small parts needed to put it together, along with detailed instructions how to assemble it from scratch, if you ever had to. Fortunately you don’t have to do that. The board is very sturdy. It seems finely crafted. The seat shuttles smoothy back and forth and rotates easily with good clearance. Grab holes seem to be strategically well-placed.The rotating seat is smoothy finished wood, covered by a removable napped white cover. I think I prefer using it without the cover to facilitate my sliding onto the seat.Depending on your needs and capabilities, careful preparation will be needed to learn whether, and how, to best use a transfer board in your situation.Certainly don’t start using it solo, without first practicing with a backup assistant, just in case.I had originally recommended it for anyone who needs a transfer board and is capable of using it.But now, I say caveat emptor.

much nicer than plastic options
This is much nicer than plastic versions/brands. It just feels a better quality. Glides quite easily and is easy to adjust.

Fills a Need by Design
It is hard to explain how well this item does the job. If you. Wed to use one of these for transfer, you appreciate the design efficiency. Any transfer is hazardous for both the person and the helper, but this device takes the weight so you can maneuver legs without a lot of difficulty, it fills a need safely. It is quite sturdy for large patients.

Well Made, possible pinch points
This is heavy duty. I weigh 250 pounds and sat on this to slide between two chairs. It did not bend but rather felt stable. I had on shorts and thus I did feel the wood as the turntable slid across it. I felt like someone in shorts might could get pinched between turntable and wood as they slide across. I think it is best to wear pants when using this. I will stay with my plastic transfer board for bathtub transfers.

Beautiful Solid Wood
The craftsmanship of the wood is excellent. Everything is sanded and sealed for durability. The center circle slides from left to right and turns both clockwise and counter clockwise. They include a package of no slip strips.
