Different weights for blankets
I was told that a weighted lap pad would help your knees from hurting & good for restless leg syndrome. This one I bought is 2 pounds & it was nothing more than blanket . Had no weight to it . It’s pretty & thought it would be good for a baby when it’s cold . I bought another one for 5 pounds & that works much better .

My friend had one of these and I loved it so I ended up purchasing one for myself. The 2 pounds is just right, I had purchased the 4 pound one previously and it was larger, but it was very heavy to keep picking up and putting aside. I only wish it came in other colors.

Smaller and heavier than expected.
This is much smaller and much heavier than expected. Please review the dimensions carefully, and also if you are looking for something lightweight, this may not be for you. I can recommend it due to the quality, but please note that it is smaller and heavier, and thus warmer than expected.

Cozy, Heavy, Well Made
Happy with this weighted blanket. I was not looking for a full sized blanket to reduce heat impact and wanted to use it not just in the bed but easily on a couch or chair.Likes:* Good mid sized blanket* Well made fabric and stitching* Washed once with no damage and came out with a neutral smell* Bumpy texture on one side and smooth texture on the other side* A good weight for the size of the blanket

Positive Experience
This has been an unexpected surprise. I approached this blanket without a great deal of confidence. I knew what they were supposed to do but I wasn’t convinced that the stories were true. I was wrong. First, this is a very soft and comfortable blanket. It is heavier than I expected. But I did find it soothing and helped me to relax after a long, stressful day.

Good feel from the cloth
Even at the largest size it feels like a lap blanket. 6 lbs is still pretty light to me. The plush of the fabric is great quality though, better than my bedsure blanket. Feels like fur.

The size and weight of this blanket work great even for adults as a companion while sitting at your desk or couch, as a lap-blanket. It is also just long enough to drape over your shoulders and feels good with the added weight. Purchased for my partner who has anxiety and they love it!

Great weight to help a young child calm down when anxious. We keep it in our LO’s zen zone. (We never use a weighted blanket for sleep.)

I have never had a weighted blanket before, but I definitely see the appeal: the weight is soothing.I prefer having a purring cat in my lap, but if no cat is available, this blanket will serve.(And you don’t have to choose: my cat liked lying on top of the blanket too.)The fabric is some kind of soft velvety fleece-like material.It’s quite thick.One side is smooth, and the other has some kind of interesting regular bumpy pattern that’s kind of nice to the touch.The weight is distributed very evenly.I like it and I think it does what it’s supposed to do.But let me address some caveats so you’re not disappointed.Description says “Designed to keep uncovered cool”: well it’s super thick. I felt warm and cozy under it.I didn’t overheat, but it certainly wasn’t cool. I don’t think you can have it both ways.They say “Portable design slips effortlessly into your gear”: well that depends. I got the larger oneand that makes for a non-trivial bundle and weight. It’s fine to bring in the car,but you’re not slipping this into your hiking backpack.Finally the size: even the larger one isn’t really long enough to fully cover you while lying down.This is a blanket for the recliner, couch, chair, car etc.You can certainly pile it on while lying down and get the soothing effect, but it won’t cover you entirely.I assume it’s intended this way since the title does say “small blanket”.The bigger it is, the more unwieldy to carry the extra weight, so this is perhaps a good balance actually, so long as you understand the size you’re getting.
